Probably one of the finest examples of an original tithe barn to be found

anywhere in England. Englishcombe tithe barn dates from the early 14th century.

Recently (1993/4) restored for the millennium with new crucks from ancient English

oak forests and with masonry and straw lining to the roof and filigree windows

unblocked. There are masons and other markings on the walls
